Eastern-style snack fritters


  • 1 packet fritter mix (oliebollen)
  • 500 ml lukewarm water
  • 450 g bacon strips
  • 100 g Bresc Freshly chopped shallot
  • 50 g Bresc Freshly chopped garlic
  • 15 g Bresc Red thai curry
  • 15 g Bresc Lemongrass puree
  • 15 g Bresc Ginger puree

Preparation method

Fry the strips of bacon in a pan until crisp. Add the chopped shallot and chopped garlic and fry gently. Drain in a colander. Turn the mixture onto a plate or dish so that it will cool more easily. Put the fritter mix into a bowl and add the red curry, lemongrass puree and ginger puree. Add the water last and mix everything to a smooth batter. Add the bacon and onion and mix it into the batter using a spatula. Cover the bowl with foil and leave to rise for 45 minutes. Shape smalls with an ice-cream scoop and deep-fry them.
